Intern - Communications UMass President's Office
The UMass President's Office (PO) is seeking a part-time student intern to work with a fast-moving, energetic communications team over the Fall 2024 semester, with the potential to extend into the Winter. The internship is available to current UMass students and pays $17 per hour; academic credit may also be available. The PO Communications department oversees the UMass system's marketing and communications efforts. As a PO Communications intern, you will work closely with the team across digital marketing, social media, public relations, content marketing, and more to compellingly and purposefully convey the university's achievements and narratives to critical audiences and stakeholders across the Commonwealth and the United States.
Intern –Strategic Sourcing UMass President's Office
The University of Massachusetts President's Office,is offering a 20 hour a week internship for currently enrolled UMass students. This is a paid internship. The selected intern will work directly with Strategic Sourcing function within the UPST. Those selected for this internship will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts and specifically the President’s Office. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, and cost optimization. The intern will work closely with our Strategic Sourcing team to support various procurement initiatives, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our Procurement operations.
Sr. Training & Communication Specialist UMass President's Office
Reporting to the Training and Communication Manager, the Senior Training Specialist will support the day-to-day operations of the Training and Communication team within Service & Quality. This role will support the distribution of workload to other Training & Communications specialists and support staff. The Senior Training & Communications Specialist will coordinate, develop, evaluate, and deliver educational and training programs and related communications and aid in the development of the department’s procedural, educational, and marketing materials while also supporting in the management of the external facing communication channels and materials. In addition, this role will help drive change management needs of UPST with regards to both internal and external deployments and messaging. This roll will also coordinate the training needs of UPST staff.
Intern – Data and Business Analytics UMass President's Office
The University of Massachusetts President's Office, located in Westborough and Boston, MA, is offering a 20-hour-a-week internship for the 2024-25 Academic Year. This is a paid internship, and academic credit may also be available. The selected candidate (s) will intern directly with the Data Analytics and Business Associate functions within the Service & Quality function of the UPST. Those selected for this internship will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts. Interns in the President's Office have the unique experience of working side-by-side with staff supporting various functions, including UITS, Employee Services, HR, Treasury, etc. The objective of this internship will be to support the intern in building and solidifying their data analytics, programming, procurement, accounts payables, sourcing, contracts, and customer service skill set while supporting UPST daily activities.
Intern – Procurement Operations UMass President's Office
The University of Massachusetts Office of the President seeks two interns within the Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST). The internship is ideal for current UMass undergraduate or graduate students who are eager to learn and gain first-hand experience working in a full-service procurement function. Our Procurement Operations team handle requisitions, purchase orders, Bank Card, accounts payable (payment/invoice) and supplier management (diversity, registration, and risk) for the UMass system and our suppliers. This internship is part-time during the semester (20 hours maximum) and full time in the Summer (40 hours) with a pay rate of $17 per hour. In addition to being a paid internship, academic credit may also be available.

Intern – Business Associate UMass President's Office
The University of Massachusetts President's Office, located in Westborough, MA is offering a 40 hour a week internship during the Summer. This is a paid internship, $17.00 per hour, for UMass students and academic credit may also be available. The selected intern will intern directly with Training & Communications and Customer Services functions within the Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST). The student selected for this internship will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts. Interns positioned in the President's Office have the unique experience of working side by side with UPST Business Associates Team (BAT) and Communications. The objective of this internship will be to support the intern in building and solidifying their communications, marketing and customer service skill set while supporting UPST daily activities.
Assistant Vice President, Academic and Research Support UMass President's Office
The Division of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Equity (AASAE) within the University of Massachusetts President’s Office seeks an Assistant Vice President for Academic and Research Support (AVP). Reporting to the Senior Vice President for AASAE, you will be responsible for: (1) overseeing the faculty tenure and promotion process for compliance with Trustee policies; (2) serving as liaison to the campuses for new program approval at the Trustee level and by the Board of Higher Education; (3) overseeing the periodic multi-year review of tenured faculty by campuses; (4) coordinating the Academic Quality Assessment and Development (AQAD) reviews; (5) overseeing the Inter Campus Exchange (ICX) program; (5) convening the campus Chief Research Officer Council to promote intercampus research collaboration and joint grants and shared facilities; (6) overseeing the President’s tech-transfer seed grant program; (7) representing the UMass System in state and national R&D bodies as assigned; (8) serve as AASAE liaison on the University Conflict-of-Interest Committee, Intellectual Property Committee, and other such bodies as assigned; and (9) overseeing the mandated processes for establishing and reviewing centers and institutes per Trustee policies. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the faculty affairs officers as well as the Chief Research Officers of the five campuses in carrying out your duties. The AVP will also work with the Office of General Counsel. Ultimately, the incumbent will assist the University of Massachusetts system (all five campuses and the president’s office) in all aspects of its mission, policies, and practices with the goal of serving equitably all segments of its public.
