Program Assistant Intern – Administration & Finance

Job Summary:

Administration and Finance (A&F), a division of The University of Massachusetts President’s Office seeks a Program Assistant Intern.  The internship is ideal for a current UMass undergraduate or graduate student who is eager to participate in the organization and administrative oversight of the A&F’s strategic projects. The selected intern will work for the Administration & Finance Program Manager and will have direct connection to all departments and functions that support A&F.

This internship is available for a Fall 2022 or Winter 2023 start, with a pay rate of $16 per hour. In addition to being a paid internship, academic credit may also be available.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience):

  • Current UMass student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of study
  • GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with new technology
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work both independently and as part of a team, and think strategically
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly and professional demeanor

Working Conditions:

Primarily remote work with an optional hybrid work schedule on-site at the One Beacon Street, Boston office or Shrewsbury office site.
