Installs, maintains, operates, repairs and/or initiates repairs on building systems such as pneumatic/electric, electronic, electro-mechanical controls, refrigeration, air conditioning, equipment and related heating and ventilation (HVAC) systems, and their related controllers and controlled devices. Employing the use and need of specialized testing and monitoring, diagnostic equipment; works synchronously with Control Technicians / trade personnel maintaining the building systems integrity, exercises functional supervision of other employees performing related repair and maintenance activities. |

The Technician Specialist I installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical systems and system components, including but not limited to cooling towers, strainers, pumps, air handlers, exhaust systems, fume hoods, etc. Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical system, applying appropriate skills and methods as necessary in the areas of HVAC maintenance and repair, pump maintenance and repair, and air compressors and their related equipment. May assist other employees in the performance of their work. |
