Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry, or a related scientific field, with a track record in experimental inorganic chemistry, broadly defined. The successful candidate is expected to establish a highly productive, externally-funded, research program. Candidates whose scientific interests complement those of existing faculty within the Department and College, and who can develop cross-disciplinary collaborations, are preferred. Our department offers multiple PhD tracks in chemistry, as well as MS, ACS-accredited BS, and BA degrees in Chemistry. Candidates whose research also has potential overlap with experimental research in the department (as an example: applications of quantum sensing to biophysics) are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will also be expected to teach and further develop the Quantum Information Certificate program we have established at UMass Boston.
