The University Information Technology Services (UITS) department of the UMass President’s Office is seeking a part time Automation and Full Stack Development Intern who wants to work side by side with IT professionals delivering technology solutions and services to the university system. The selected intern will work up to 20 hours a week during the semester; students must be currently enrolled and attending classes at one of the five UMass campuses. This is a paid internship at $17.00 an hour and academic credit may also be available. Interns will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts. Energy Transformation Fellow

The Energy Transformation Fellow will work with the Massachusetts Office of Energy Transformation to assist in advancing policies, programs, and initiatives to implement the state’s nation lead climate and clean energy mandates affordably, equitably and sustainably. The Energy Transformation Fellow will assist in developing the strategic execution of work groups focused on one of three areas, depending on interest and alignment of skill sets, related to the gas-to-electric transition, readying and decarbonizing the electric grid, and pursuing alternative mechanisms to finance investments in the electric utility distribution grid. The Energy Transformation Fellow will also help support convening of an Energy Transformation Advisory Board (Advisory Board), comprised of senior level representatives from across the energy ecosystem in Massachusetts, including utilities, environmental justice organizations, policymakers, financial institutions, clean tech, power generators, labor, renewable energy developers, academic institutions, and others. Finally, Energy Transformation Fellows will develop and support the execution of regional stakeholder meetings to share information about the work of the Office of Energy Transformation and elicit feedback and input to incorporate into future efforts.
This position will collaborate with the Executive Director and deputy Director of the Office of Energy Transformation, other Energy Transformation Fellows, staff of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, the Massachusetts Office of Climate Innovation and Resilience, the Department of Public Utilities, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, the Analysis Group, the Georgetown Climate Center, the Harvard Energy and environment Law Program, members of various stakeholder working groups, and the Energy Transformation Advisory Board, among others. |

The University IT Services (UITS) Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is responsible for developing and managing shared services in the area of data and analytics for the entire UMass university system. These include:
- Data services such as the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and related data integrations
- Reporting, visualizations, and analytics tools for self-service use of university personnel
- Data analysis and development services for various business lines including development of interactive dashboards and analytics
The Senior Data Engineer is a key contributor in the EDA team, providing expertise in modeling data structures and designing, building, and optimizing data mappings. They are experienced in multiple data management technologies and support data analytics and data scientists in answering complex data driven business questions. |

The PO Communications department oversees the UMass system's marketing and communications efforts. As a PO Communications intern, you will work closely with the team across digital marketing, social media, public relations, content marketing, and more to compellingly and purposefully convey the university's achievements and narratives to critical audiences and stakeholders across the Commonwealth and the United States. |

The University of Massachusetts Office of the President seeks two interns within the Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST). The internship is ideal for current UMass undergraduate or graduate students who are eager to learn and gain first-hand experience working in a full-service procurement function. Our Procurement Operations team handle requisitions, purchase orders, Bank Card, accounts payable (payment/invoice) and supplier management (diversity, registration, and risk) for the UMass system and our suppliers.
This internship is part-time during the semester (20 hours maximum) and full time in the Summer (40 hours) with a pay rate of $17 per hour. In addition to being a paid internship, academic credit may also be available. |
