Intern - Data Analytics UMass President's Office
The University of Massachusetts President's Office, located in Westborough and Boston, MA is offering a Summer 2024 internship for enrolled UMass students. This is a paid internship and academic credit may also be available. The selected intern will work directly with the Unified Procurement Services Team’s Data & Analytics Specialist. The selected intern will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts.
Intern – Procurement Operations UMass President's Office
The University of Massachusetts Office of the President seeks an intern within the Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST). The internship is ideal for a current UMass undergraduate or graduate student who is eager to learn and gain first-hand experience working in a full-service procurement function. Our Procurement Operations team handle requisitions, purchase orders, Bank Card, accounts payable (payment/invoice) and supplier management (diversity, registration, and risk) for the UMass system and our suppliers. This internship is part-time during the semester (20 hours maximum) and full time in the Summer (40 hours) with a pay rate of $17 per hour. In addition to being a paid internship, academic credit may also be available.
Tax Intern UMass President's Office
University Treasurer’s Office Tax Internship is available to current UMass Students for the Summer 2024, at $17.00 an hour. Interns may work up to 20 hours per week during the semesters and up to 40 hours in the summer. The Associate will assist departments/units on proper completion of procurement, accounts payable, contracts, sourcing, payroll, and procurement technology transactions, procedures, and available self-service tools. This position is the primary hiring path into the UPST, built around a 2-3 year rotational program where candidates will hone their overall business skills.
Senior Budget Analyst UMass President's Office
The Senior Budget Analyst for the UMass System Office is generally responsible for the collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of University financial data. Senior Budget Analysts are responsible for: understanding the University’s policies and guidelines; collaborating with system office departments and campus staff to collect data and prepare reports in various areas of University’s budget; working with campus finance teams to monitor and forecast revenues and expenses and state appropriations as well as other ad hoc requests as needed; identifying and monitoring key budget issues and priorities; actively participating on various working groups and policy development teams as needed; and assisting in the preparation of Board presentations and materials.

The University IT Services (UITS) Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is responsible for developing and managing shared services in the area of data and analytics for the entire UMass university system. These include: - Data services such as the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and related data integrations - Reporting, visualizations, and analytics tools for self-service use of university personnel - Data analysis and development services for various business lines including development of interactive dashboards and analytics The Senior Data Engineer is a key contributor in the EDA team, providing expertise in modeling data structures and designing, building, and optimizing data mappings. They are experienced in multiple data management technologies and support data analytics and data scientists in answering complex data driven business questions.
