Assistant Director Career Development Services in UMass Amherst
Reporting to the Director of Career Development Services for the College of Humanities and Fine Arts (HFA), the Assistant Director provides personalized career, job and internship advising to HFA undergraduate students and recent alumni. This position plays a key role in helping students identify and clarify their professional goals and teaches the career skills necessary for student success upon graduation. In addition to one-on-one advising, the Assistant Director delivers career development workshops and in-class presentations on topics such as career exploration, internships, résumés and cover letters, interviewing, networking, and job search strategies. This role involves building strong relationships within and beyond the college to support HFA student career growth and success. Career programming takes place across campus and occasionally on the Mt. Ida campus.
