Essential Functions:
- Manages all aspects of HR data processing, working closely with appropriate university representatives while providing quality customer service.
- Perform system support and analysis, including functionality and design review, end to end testing and implementation of HR System upgrades or updates, collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate implementation of upgrade or fix.
- Ensure system integration functionality, including review of integration specifications and development suggestions, troubleshoot integration issues, execute system audits for validation and compliance, documenting effectively and escalating appropriately.
- Provide production support as an escalation point including, but not limited to, researching, and resolving system or integration issues, unexpected results, or process flaws; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities. Compares data from different sources to draw conclusions. Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions. Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Uses this data to ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.
- Responsible for interpretation and administration of university policies and procedures pertaining to Human Resources.
- Running and reviewing audit reports for data accuracy.
- Create and maintain procedures and job aids.
- Educate and train staff where needed.
- Backup to the Sr. HR Administrator
- Meet with university and external auditors as required.
- Facilitating group information needs and translating those needs into specifications that outline data systems requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources and/or payroll administration.
- Knowledge of Human Resources information systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of programming, technical principles and in depth, experienced based cross functional knowledge.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills as well as time management, organization and attention to detail.
- Strong managerial skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentations).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with requirements of personnel management and payroll process for higher education.

Additional Information:
- Usual office environment.
- May require periodic extended hours, nights and weekends, as necessary.
- Salary commensurate with experience up to $105,000.
