Coordinator of Commonwealth Honors College Co-Curricular Events UMass Amherst
This position collaborates with all Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) units to implement student events, programs, and activities for all CHC students. This position will include working with the Commonwealth Honors College Residential Community (CHCRC) residential hall staff to plan inclusive and co-programming to ensure that all CHC students experience a living and learning community regardless of their residential area. This position will also plan and implement various co-curricular and extracurricular programming and assume responsibilities for the CHC inductions for our first-year students at the beginning of the fall semester. Additionally, this position will coordinate recruitment and outreach activities in collaboration with the UMass Amherst Office of Admissions. This position will also supervise the student ambassadors who are involved in recruitment and outreach events and activities.

Performs general custodial duties in connection with the cleaning and maintenance of a building or of an assigned area within a building in the Auxiliary Services Department. Works as a member of a team cleaning custodial program (CAPP Hillyard Rovic) which includes housekeeping, cleaning, moving furniture, and trash removal in assigned Auxiliary Services buildings.
Postdoctoral Research Associate - Chemical Engineering UMass Lowell
Seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct computational research on the project related to machine learning algorithm development for boosting multi-scale and multi-physics simulations of catalysis and material science. Will develop machine learning-based algorithm for plasma catalysis, electrocatalysis, field-enhanced catalysis, as well as non-toxic material discovery using methods such as graph neural networks, gaussian processes, and graph convolutional networks, active learning, and group activity. The candidates will focus on quantifying the local field strengths, predicting the energetics influenced by fields, and optimizing catalysis and material synthesis processes. Will help immediate supervisor in writing scholarly articles and proposals and mentor the students. Salary will be competitive and based on experience.
Research Scientist - End-to-End Modeling UMass Lowell
The full-time Research Scientist will work closely with faculty, research staff, post-docs, graduate students and undergraduate students to carry out new and on-going experimental research for the PICTURE-D exoplanetary imaging balloon mission in the areas of wavefront control, end-to-end Structural Thermal Optical Performance (STOP) modeling and science data processing. This work will be performed under the direction of the principal investigator and is contingent upon funding availability.
Communications Dispatcher II (UMPD Emergency Dispatcher) UMass Amherst
Receives, prioritizes, and transmits first notification of calls for 24/7/365 service for police, fire and medical assistance from the campus community. Dispatches non-emergency and 911 calls for service to the campus community. Transmits messages by radio from the Communications Center to multiple mobile and portable units in accordance with strict rules and regulations. Communicates via state and national criminal databases to other police departments to report on criminal activity. Extensively documents actions and outcomes from all police, fire and medical incidents occurring on campus into a computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
